Exactly... He really didn...@Jennifer Oh, me too! Exactly... He really didn't deserve the way he was treated. Thanks!

@BJ You're totally and completely right! I think that is why it didn't ruin the book for me. I don't hate Rose for it and I'm really glad she got her happy ending, but I was disappointed in her actions. I haven't been in exactly the same situation, but I'm not perfect and I broke a boys heart once upon a time and it still makes me feel bad because how I handled the whole situation wasn't really good. At all. Funnily enough I told the guy that I couldn't be with him, because I couldn't ever really have a long term relationship with someone who wasn't Russian... ha ha ha... (:

@Jenny I know! I am really glad for the spinoff series! :) I agree with you, she really did. It was, but like I said to BJ, it didn't make me hate her - and I agree with you as well. In real life a lot of these things never end perfect and it was a realistic reaction. We're only human and we all fall short of being perfect. Well, Rose is actually a dhampir, but same principle. ;DBook Crook Lizahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13665787911458461098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3601431526183026449.post-38508777062910010632011-09-18T07:24:01.196-07:002011-09-18T07:24:01.196-07:00I was really sad when I finished this one as well ...I was really sad when I finished this one as well and realized the series was over, but I'm so glad we at least get a spinoff in the same world:) Rose really grew on me as well and I thought matured quite a bit over the course of the books. The Adrian scenario was heartbreaking, but while it would have been nice for it to be wrapped up all pretty and with no one's feelings hurt, I thought it was more realistic the way it happened. Though I do agree that she used him and that was hard to read since I'm a fan of his:)Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14199685365145765394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3601431526183026449.post-72345557292401793282011-09-18T05:56:19.042-07:002011-09-18T05:56:19.042-07:00I think the only reason the Rose-Adrian thing didn...I think the only reason the Rose-Adrian thing didn't drive me crazy was because, even though I didn't like the way she treated him...it was total Rose. She's a flawed character, and her major flaw is that she has tunnel vision for the people she cares most about. Unfortunately, that never really included Adrian. Did she use him? Yes. Did she hurt him? Yes. Do I like that? No. BUT, because she had reasons for her actions, I was able to handle it.

P.S. I think you'll really enjoy Bloodlines! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3601431526183026449.post-4458286107680934082011-09-18T04:21:59.032-07:002011-09-18T04:21:59.032-07:00Oh that quote made my blood boil. I wasn't too keen in the first book but she really grew on me then I was just let down. I did enjoy the series but Rose and I have issues haha

Great review! :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16241686613015815347noreply@blogger.com
