Sorry this is a day late, but better late than never, as I and millions of others like to say! I thought I'd be old school today and go back to my roots. The first book boy that started my long string of book boyfriends. Gilbert Blythe. I'm definitely going to have to agree with Anne and her quote in Anne of Windy Poplars: “Gilbert, I'm afraid I'm scandalously in love with you.” 

I don't know how Anne managed to stay angry with him for so long after the "carrots incident", but gee whiz... She sure knows how to hold a grudge! 

Described in the books as having dark curly hair, hazel eyes and a long lean build, obviously Gilbert has to be cast as the dashing Jonathan Crombie! Who I think played him perfectly in the films! Ohhhh, Gil! You're so cute! 

My Book Boyfriend {#2} Tod from Soul Screamers

In honour of the release coming up of the 5'th book in the Soul Screamers series ('If I Die'), which I am anxiously awaiting... I give you Tod. Tod is my favourite character in the series, even though he isn't exactly a main character and doesn't get nearly enough scenes. BUT I AM STILL ROOTING FOR HIM AND KAYLEE TO HOOK UP! I'd happily stand in her place though!


Let's get to know Tod, shall we? 

• Curly blonde hair.
• He is a GRIM REAPER. 
• He can teleport wherever he wants!
• He delivers pizza on the side.
• He's excellent at spying. 
• He's funny and sarcastic.

“Just FYI, in your case, I think it’s okay to fear the reaper.” 

I'm casting Andrei Schipanov as Tod. Yes, he's a Russian actor and Tod is American, but I need an excuse to use Andrei. Andrei is breathtakingly sexy, OK????? 

“Now if you’ll excuse me, Death waits for no man. Except me.”

“So,would you say I’m closer to a zombie or a vampire? I gotta know—are my parts going to rot and fall off, or am I forever frozen in youthful perfection?” 

I think you'll be happy to hear.... THAT ALL OF HIS PARTS ARE INTACT. As far as I know! Which isn't far enough. :(

 “I got swirling eyes and the capacity to shatter windows with my bare voice. Tod got teleportation and invisibility. The supernatural world is so far from fair.” 

“Then strong, warm arms wrapped around me from behind. "I've got you," Tod whispered in my ear.”

Hello to the ladies who participate in My Book Boyfriend. This is my first time taking part! I have to say... this is one of the best meme's I've ever seen. One of my favourite past times is to fan myself while obsessing over a current fictional boyfriend. So, let me begin... 

My book lover of the century week is Zachary from the Shade series. Okay, he may have made a real ass out of himself in Shift, but that's okay. I can forgive him. After all, didn't he say, "Aura, I'm really patient, but I'm not a bloody saint." ? That boy definitely would never have to be a bloody saint around me. And did you catch that 'bloody'? He's a damn Scotsman. Yes, please! 

"I suppressed another shiver - I did not want Zachary taking off any more clothes on my account."

Aura, what? LET HIM TAKE IT ALL OFF, crazy!

"I promise I'll never tell." 
"Don't promise that," he said in an ultraserious voice. "If they try to hurt you and the only way to protect yourself is to tell them what you know about me, then you tell them. Straight off, okay?" 
"No." 
"Promise me." 
"No!" 
"I will possess your heart." 
Heat flared along the back of my neck. "What did you say?" 
"My favorite song. 'I Will Possess Your Heart.'" 
"By Death Cab for Cutie?" 
He snorted. "No, the little known T.I. Hip-hop remix. Yes, Death Cab for Cutie." 
... "Why? What's wrong with it?" 
"Nothing, but it doesn't seem to fit you. It's kind of a sad song." 
"No it's pure confident. It's not 'I want' or 'I need', none of that crap." He slipped his hand over mine. "It's 'I will.'" 
A nervous laugh bubbled up. "You will, huh?" 
His fingers brushed my cheek, then slid into my hair. "I will."
