Follow Me Friday #3 and TGIF #2

It's Follow Me Friday over at Parajunkee! The question this week is:

Q. If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

Ahaha, I love this question! Probably because I've considered some interesting scenarios in my head before.

Of course I would be Puck's forever lover in the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. Duh!

OR WAIT.... Vampire Diaries: Adrian. Yes, pleeeeease!

The Reviews We Don't Write:
Have you ever read a book and not wanted to review it? Are some books too personal that we want to keep our thoughts our own?

I'm actually like that about many books I love. All for different reasons. Sometimes it's because I'm insecure about liking it, sometimes because I know I could never possibly do it justice. The former hasn't been much of an issue anymore, because I just shove my insecurity aside and say WHATEVER!!!! I LOVE IT, WHAT YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?!?! But sometimes it's insecurity because I don't like it. Nightshade is one of those. I feel like I am the only girl on the planet who didn't like it very much, therefor I felt a little awkward about reviewing it. I didn't want people to think OH LORD, THIS GIRL IS AN IDIOT. It was interesting enough to continue the series, but I can't say it captured me.

  2. hello, c/o TGIF. everyone has their opinion of a book, however i know what you mean when it comes to a book that everyone seems to like and then you are the one person that the book does not capture. I'm the only person living haven't seen or care about Twilight.(eek, do you get a lot of commenters, lol) http://sidnebkclubreviewz.blogspot.com

  6. OMG I AM SO WITH YOU on feeling insecure about not liking something everyone else seems to love! But I love it when I read a review for a book that seems to only be getting praise that is like "eh, I kind of didn't like it and this is why..."

    New follower! :)

  10. I think we've all had books that other people loved and we didn't enjoy that much. I'm sort of scared to read books with tons of hype around them for that reason LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today, I would've commented on your reviews, but i haven't read those two books yet and I don't read reviews for books I haven't read as i want to be as surprised as possible :)

    Have a great week!

  11. Fireflywishes: Thanks for visiting my blog! I understand what you mean - I try to keep my reviews spoiler free, because I feel the same way - I like to keep books as much as a surprise as possible! In fact, I don't often read the summaries, because sometimes I think they give way too much away and it's fun to be surprised. :D
