Meme Tuesday: Top 10 Tuesday and Tune In Tuesday

This is Tune in Tuesdays hosted by G Reads! Go spread the love of music by going over to her blog and participating!
My choice this week is Magnetic Man featuring Katy B. I found this video accidentally a few weeks ago and I've been listening to it ever since. I love Katy's voice! And I like the beat.

This week: Top Ten Books I Feel As Though Everybody Has Read But Me

1. City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1) by Cassandra Clare
2. The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins
3. Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth
4. I've never read a single book by Sarah Dressen...
5. Waterfall (River of Time #1) by Lisa Tawn Bergren
6. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins
7. Hex Hall (Hex Hall #1) by Rachel Hawkins
8. Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy #1) by Kiersten White
9. Half-Blood (Covenant #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
10. Halo (Halo #1) by Alexandra Adornetto

Most of these haven't been read for the fact that I haven't been able to get around to it yet. City of Bones is something I started, but I wasn't in the right mood to latch on and ended up putting it down and then taking it back to the library. I've been wanting to start it again though. The same goes for Paranormalcy. I have Anna and the French Kiss and I'll probably be reading that really soon. I've been on a Vampire Academy kick and am now reading Bloodlines, so once I'm finished with that, we'll see! A bunch of these I really want to read though. Half-Blood isn't actually out yet, but I've been seeing so many reviews popping up left and right that I feel like I'm the only one who hasn't read it - I can't wait to! Halo... Well, I'm a little scared to read that. I've seen people who despised it and people who loved it. I recently won the second book in the series, so I need to read it soon!

  1. On your list I would strongly recommend Divergent and The Hunger Games. I, too, started City of Bones and did not finish.

  2. You definitely need to read The Hunger Games and Anna and the French Kiss. I would definitely at least get to Hunger Games before the movie comes out in order not to accidentally spoil it for yourself. :)

  4. Alright, Hex hall was a really cute read if your in the mood for humor. I only read the first book in THG and never felt the need to read the others, but I probably will before the movie comes out. Definitely wanna read Anna and Divergent. I've seen good things about waterfall, Paranormalcy was a cute read to. TMI was good, but I'm not sure about the 4th book Ive seen where it should have been left at 3, Halo was ok. That's all I got for you. :)

  6. Divergent and Hunger Games are on my list too. Based on the comments, looks like I need to read Hunger Games!

  7. I have read several of the books on your list but still need to read Waterfall so you are not the only one who hasn't read it.

  8. First of all, I've never heard this song before - so thank you for that introduction. And second, stop whatever you're reading right now & pick up Divergent. Trust me, you'll thank me later ;-) I've read it twice already & contemplating a third time!

  12. I have been wanting to read Hex Hall too but it is not too high on my priority.I've read only one book by Sarah Dressen and loved it, I need to read more.

  13. On your list, I've only read Paranormalcy, and I highly recommend it! Evie's just too funny. :) I've yet to read any of Sarah Dessen's books either, probably because I'm not too big a fan of realistic fiction. And I really want to read Half-Blood, too, I wish I could have gotten my hands on one of Armentrout's ARCs. Thank you for visiting my blog, and happy reading!

  14. Half Blood, Waterfall and Sarah Dessen are some that I'm interested in too. The Hunger Games is popping up on several lists. Maybe you'll read it before the movie.

  15. I love Katy B's voice - I had never heard of either artist. You have some good books on that unread list :-) Hope you get to them soon.

  18. I've only read The Hunger Games and Anna and the French Kiss. Both are excellent books.

I'm really looking forward to Lola and the Boy Next Door. The author is doing a signing at a bookstore near me this Saturday. So excited!!

  19. You HAVEN'T read a Sarah Dessen novel?! But...but... they're so good! Most of them, anyway. Really, you should give at least *one* of them a try.

    ANNA is also really good.

I'd tell you to skip the Hunger Games, but I think I'm the only person that disliked it.

    Nice list. :)

  20. Have to admit that I haven't read any of these either! Glad to see I am not the only one who hasn't read The Hunger Games.

  22. I read City of Bones a couple of years ago, and even if I finished it I was never that into it. Then I picked up City of Ashes last week, and now I'm completely hooked!

The Hunger Games and Divergent are definitely books you should read, Hex Hall is good but not great, and I loved that Paranormalcy was a less serious, more fun take on Vampires and the supernatural.

I've never even heard of Half Blood, but I'll have to check it out now!:)

  23. You must read The Hunger Games and Divergent immediately!!! :)

  24. What an awesome song to stumble across. It was so cool especially with all the instruments. Also you MUST read a Sarah Dessen novel ASAP. I suggest The Truth About Forever, Just Listen, or This Lullaby!

  25. I've never read any of Sarah Dessen's books either. I get a lot of weird responses when I say that! Haha.

  26. I loved Divergent! I didn't really care for Halo.

    Thanks for stopping by!

  27. I loved The Hunger Games and Divergent! City of Bones and Paranormalcy were both good, but not totally my cup o' tea. I, too, am scared of reading Halo because it's seems to be so polarizing. I might hate it...

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  28. Hi, I forgot about Waterfall and City of bones, so i need a 12 list of books. lol. Thanks for stopping by. you have an appealing blog decor.

  29. Unless you really want to depress yourself, I wouldn't read Divergent and Hunger Games back to back. :D I wasn't so much a fan of Halo or Paranormalcy, but Anna and... was one of my favourite contemps novels last year. I hope you get to it soon!

We'll have to both read Waterfall soonish and share our thoughts! Thank you for stopping by, and I'm a new follower!

  30. Interesting song choice... never heard it before. As for the book list, I've only read the first 3... but you should DEFINITELY read them! Especially the Hunger Games & Divergent. AMAZING! :)

    My Tune in Tuesday pick!

  31. That was a nice Tune in Tuesday!!
As for the books, I always feel like I'm the last to read some of them :P mostly because I usually wait for the Pbs!

I was never drawn to books like City of Bones though, they just aren't my thing.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh my goodness. Numbers 1-4! City of Bones was awesome. The Hunger Games are freaking fantastic! You must read Divergent! Divergent is my absolute favorite book of 2011, if not of all time. It was so good. And anything Sarah Dessen is fabulous (minus Dreamland; I hated that one). You need to get reading! Haha :)

  33. So, I've read all of those except 9 & 10, haha. But really, those are some seriously awesome books. 'Anna' is one of my favourite contemps, Sarah Dessen is one of my favourite authors, I adored 'Divergent', 'Hunger Games' are some of my favourites as well. Heck, I could go on and on... =b
