  5. It is so funny how I forget about songs and bands until they randomly pop up! I was a huge Cranberries fan when I was younger. I used to listen to Linger and Zombie over and over again!

  10. Three very different songs.
I think the only one I'm sure I heard before was the Nothing Compares 2 U, because they still play it at the oldies stations here (And how sad it's now an oldie?)

Anyway, great pics, I like Linger :D

  11. Thanks for all the comments! I'm glad everyone liked my songs! :)

NaKesha - I just started it last night before bed, so I haven't got very far in yet, but so far it's interesting! I didn't want to put it down last night, so that's a good thing. I had actually checked it out from the library a while back, started the first few pages and then put it down and never picked it back up. I think I was thrown off by how quickly everything gets moving; I almost felt like I was reading the second book, but sure enough, it was the first! So, I'm trying again! I have one comment about it: Being Russian and all I get a little picky in books when Russians are used, just because a lot of people make silly mistakes with names, which are easy to research. I've only noticed one so far: Lissa isn't a nickname for Vasilisa and doesn't even make much sense, because if that were the case it would be Lisa, because Vasilisa sounds like "Vah-see-lEEsa", if you know what I mean. Ohhh, I'm silly about that. :)

  13. lol all of these were on my long list for this, but they didn't make the final cut. I was born in 1990 and Nothing Compare 2 U was the number one song on my birthday :

  14. Excellent picks. Nothing says 90's like Sinead, Cranberries and Radiohead.

  15. Three excellent choices. I forget Radiohead is 90's because we still listen to them so much around my house. They're such a huge part of my (and the hubby's life)! Cranberries too!

    Excellent choices!

And I've never read Vampire Academy, but I've always wanted to. I should remedy that.

  17. SweetestLittleBookworm: Yeah, it took me a while to finally read the series - I'd seen it around, but never started. I like it okay so far, but I am a little annoyed with how poorly the author researched. She threw the Russian Orthodox Church into the book, but didn't bother to find out anything about it... Two big mistakes I've caught so far: We don't have "mass" (we're not Roman Catholic) we have "Divine Liturgy" and we do not sit during Divine Liturgy, we stand. I just felt she could have just left that whole bit out, if she obviously couldn't be bothered to do the most basic of research.

    Thanks everyone for commenting!
