Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris - until she meets Etienne St. Clair: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.
As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near - misses end with the French kiss Anna - and readers - have long awaited? - Good Reads

Stephanie Perkins is pure evil. I started this last night before I went to sleep and thought I'd get read a few chapters and go to bed. Ohhhhh, hell no! I stayed awake until I finished it. And woke up at noon today with a massive headache and sore eyes. But it was worth it! I've heard over and over what a great book it is, so I was anticipating that it was going to be good, but I wasn't prepared for how addicting it would be.

This book has a variety of things I love: boarding school, a lovable boy with an English accent, a believable, well developed and sweet love story, an interesting location and just enough angst to satisfy without being annoying. I like to be able to jump out of my seat and yell, "Oh no he/she didn't!", but not have it so dramatic that it makes me throw the book across the room in fury because of the obvious stupidity. This was definitely the perfect amount. I've been so caught up in books with heavier or darker themes lately and it felt good to read something light, cheesy and fun.

Go read this book. Seriously! I bet you'll love it!

  3. Perfect reaction to this book. It's amazing and St. Clair is literally my perfect guy, accent and all. I seriously loved every character in this book. Perkins is just genius. I can't wait for Lola and the Boy Next Door!

  5. @Melissa Aww, thanks! I was debating between Care Bears and Hello Kitty. My husband was all about the Care Bears, but Hello Kitty won! It's really good! I was skeptical a little, but I really liked it! It's definitely equivilant to a romantic comedy - makes you feel happy afterwards. :)

@Bookish Brunette I liked it a lot! :) I usually read paranormal, so it was different!

@Kristan He is! I love that boy! And there were so many good quotes in that book! I really want to read Lola and The Boy Next Door!

@BJ I know! It felt nice to read something else - it was a nice and quick read! :)

Thank you all for commenting! <33

  6. YES! I did the same thing Liza. I started thinking I'll just read a couple chapters and then promptly ignored everyone and everything around me and finished the whole thing in one sitting. LOVED:)

  8. I did the same thing! I picked up Anna on New Year's Day thinking I'd read a little of it since everyone was saying how good it was. But i ended up laying in bed reading all day and finished it that night! I loved Etienne, but Josh was so my favorite and I can't wait for the next two books in the series! I've heard awesome things about Lola and the Boy Next Door already!
