SPELL BOUND (HEX HALL #3) BY RACHEL HAWKINS
Release Date: March 13'th 2012
Hailed as “impossible to put down,” the Hex Hall series has both critics and teens cheering. With a winning combination of romance, action, magic and humor, this third volume will leave readers enchanted.I just finished the first two books in this trilogy (look out for the reviews this week!) and I TOTALLY TORE THROUGH THEM! I'm literally counting the days until Spell Bound comes out now! March, pleasepleaseprettyplease, come quicker!
Just as Sophie Mercer has come to accept her extraordinary magical powers as a demon, the Prodigium Council strips them away. Now Sophie is defenseless, alone, and at the mercy of her sworn enemies—the Brannicks, a family of warrior women who hunt down the Prodigium. Or at least that’s what Sophie thinks, until she makes a surprising discovery. The Brannicks know an epic war is coming, and they believe Sophie is the only one powerful enough to stop the world from ending. But without her magic, Sophie isn’t as confident.
Sophie’s bound for one hell of a ride—can she get her powers back before it’s too late? - Good Reads

Yet another series I have to check out!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love that cat picture!
Out of the two, the first book was my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE, but I loved the sequel, too. Now, though, I'm like you. I have a mental countdown running in my head that pops up every time I log onto my blog. Especially with the cliffhanger at the end of Demonglass, geez. At least you have a shorter wait than the rest of us have had. That's something :)

You've also got me really intrigued with this book, as well as the series it belongs to. Guess I gotta find out what I've been missing out on, right? Of course, I've heard of this trilogy, but have yet to read the first two books. Will do something about that!!
Thanks for featuring this third novel!

ReplyDeleteThis novel falls in-between novels like Goodkind's Sword of Truth and Twilight. Since I like both sides in different ways, I'm more than happy with the hybrid. Rachel Hawkins I have no doubt could write adult fantasy as well as she does young adult if she wanted to. I suppose here's where I say I'm a straight guy and I liked this book, if that matters to anyone.
