Taking it Personal: Which books have effected you on a personal level and lingered in your mind long after you closed the pages?
This is such a difficult question to answer, because there are so many answers. I've had a lot of books effect me in different ways and a lot that stayed in mind for a long time. I guess a few would be The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath, The Harry Potter Series, Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. I just love all of those books and they all hold a special meaning for me. The Bell Jar is funny because I still like the book, but it isn't as important to me as it once was. Though every once in a while (and funnily enough yesterday) I'll quote the beginning of the book in my head. For some reason that always stuck with me. And every time I read the book I want to eat caviar. The Harry Potter Series because it was epic. Obviously! Anne of Green Gables was one of the first chapter books I ever owned besides Black Beauty and I've always been obsessed with Avonlea. I watched the series Road to Avonlea and read every single book. I just love everything about it and I still have a silly little dream to visit Prince Edward Island someday. We'll see! Jane Eyre is just good.
Book Blogger Hop over at Crazy For Books question for the week is:
“What is the one ARC you would love to get your hands on right now?”
Definitely.... The Iron Knight (Iron Fey, #4) by Julie Kagawa! I can't wait for it to come out. I'm dyyyyyyying! October 25'th, come quicker!
I love all of your choices. They are definitely life altering.

ReplyDeletebookgoonie - I recently re-read Jane Eyre because I got it for free on my Kindle and I still got so caught up in it as if I didn't know what the outcome was! Wonderful, wonderful book!
mrs_laura_koehler & melissa - You both really should! It's such a magical series! :) I was late at reading them too though! Glad I ended up picking them up!
Susan - The Bell Jar is a little different than what I normally read - it's honestly pretty depressing!
