KORI DANIELS is a shadow-walker, able to travel instantly from one shadow to another. After weeks of confinement for betraying her boss, she’s ready to break free of the Tower syndicate for good. But Jake Tower has one final job for Kori, one chance to secure freedom for herself and her sister, Kenley, even if that means taking it from someone else…
The job? Recruit Ian Holt—or kill him.
Ian’s ability to manipulate the dark has drawn interest from every syndicate in the world, most notably an invitation from Jake Tower. Though he has no interest in organized crime, Ian accepts the invite, because he’s on a mission of his own. Ian has come to kill Tower’s top Binder: Kori’s little sister.
Amid the tangle of lies, an unexpected thread of truth connecting Ian and Kori comes to light. But with opposing goals, they’ll have to choose between love and liberty…. - Good Reads
OH.MY.GOD. I loved the Blood Bound cover, but this cover is TOTALLY GORGEOUS! I'm just in lovelovelove. I have an e-mail subscription to Rachel's blog and when I got the new blog post with the cover my mouth literally dropped! Which is funny because after finding out the next book in the Unbound series was going to be about Kori I was a little upset and wasn't sure I'd continue the series. Kori totally rubbed me the wrong way in Blood Bound and I didn't really think I'd want to read a book about her. But with a cover like that... well, my mind has been changed!
I love this cover, too. I was also upset that Cam & Liv weren't the MCs, bit I also think RV is a fab author. Can't. Wait.
ReplyDeleteI have the first book on my Wishlist!!! I need to start this series!!
ReplyDeleteThat is an AMAZING cover. Blood Bound is sitting here beside me; I need to get reading it! Just have a couple time-sensitive reviews to finish off first...
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the first one yet...so behind!
ReplyDelete@Andrea Yep, that's how I felt! But I think I trust Rachel enough to write a good novel - so I agree! :)
ReplyDelete@Bookish Brunette It's good! You should check it out! :)
@BJ Isn't it??? It was a really good book! I get what you mean - I've had a few of those lately - it's why I haven't posted more this week!
@Shellie Check it out, for sure! :) :)
Thank you all for commenting! <333
I haven't read any of her books yet but I do have the Soul Screamers series and I was thinking of reading this series just cause it's easier to start a series at the beginning rather then try to read all 20 books in a series. I tend to suck at that. I do love this cover! I think the first book what turned me off was the print on the title. It just looks weird to me. But I think it matches the cover of this one good so maybe I can look past it.
ReplyDeleteThis cover freaking RULES. Although I haven't read the first book, or ANY book by Rachel Vincent for that matter. Need to get on that!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Isn't it funny how influential covers can be? I hope you end up enjoying Kori's story.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I still need to read the first book, and now I really want to just because I love this cover too! LOL
I love the cover. It is amazing the power a cover can have on you wanting to read it.
ReplyDelete@Candace The Soul Screamer series is really good! I love it! Yeah, I liked the cover in the first series alright, but it doesn't compare to this one at all! :)
ReplyDelete@Lux You should! She's an amazing author! I love how she writes paranormal, but nothing typical - she's really is inventive! Like Soul Screamers is about banshees - something I've never seen in YA paranormal or any other paranormal books I've read! And this series also has a really unique paranormal world.
@Missie I know! :D They really can be! That's what happened to me with Until I Die by Amy Plum - the second cover was just revealed and I LOVED IT now I'm finally reading the first!
@evermore1girl It is amazing! ;) But I'm a visual person - I like things that look nice and I won't lie! They do draw me in! :)
