- Divergent (Divergent #1) by Veronica Roth
TGIF at GReads!
This Friday's Question:
To-Be-Read's: How big is your pile? Which book keeps getting pushed down the stack, but you keep meaning to read it?
It's a little massive. I'm not even sure I could really count. And I actually just read a book that kept getting pushed down the stack the day before yesterday: Divergent by Veronica Roth. And I freaking loved it! I think Hunger Games and City of Bones need to be read soon. I've been putting those off for forever! Tell me what I'm missing out on! ;) Maybe that's the kick in the ass I need!
It's Follow Me Friday over at Parajunkee!
The question this week is:
Q. If you could pick one character in a book, movie or television show to swap places with, who would it be?
Ohhh... this is tough, because I'm not in the mood to put up with any life threatening situations and nearly all of my favourite characters are in them on a regular basis. I'd almost say Lola from Lola and the Boy Next Door so I could have Cricket, but I'm not sure I could put up with her clothing without feeling like a fool. I just don't have the guts I'd need to pull it off. I think I could switch with Aura from the Shade series by Jeri Smith-Ready. Ghosts aren't too bad... If Zachary is around! (<-- for real!) Or maybe I'd switch with Buffy for a while! At least I'd know I could kick the ass of anybody who tried to mess with me and I'd have a great group of friends!
i haven't read divergent yet either :)

Hopping through. I love the idea of Lola's clothes, but I'm sure I couldn't pull them off.

BUFFY! YES! I'd pick her every time. She is my freaking idol. And I think you could totally pull off those costumes.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend, Liza. :)
I kept pushing Divergent down my list too and then picked it up a few weeks ago and couldn't believe I'd waited so long! So good:) Have a great weekend Liza!

The Hunger Games was amazing! I wasn't too fond of City of Bones, but I had just finished Mockingjay and was having a hard time getting into new books.
ReplyDeleteI really need to read Lola and the Boy Next Door! I love quirky outfits! I chose all characters that are kick-ass because I would love to be able to kick some butt like they do! Haha.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!

Haven't read LOLA yet. Just bought it today. Good answers. Come visit me over at Livre De Amour-Books of Love Blog.
ReplyDeleteDivergent was amazing wasn't it? I would have picked Lola too except for the fashion choices. I did dye my hair red velvet cupcake color so I'm slowly experimenting. I picked Anna and the French Kiss instead.

Good choices! I don't think I'd be able to handle all the emotion that Aura does...I'd rather have a sword and fight people... LOL
ReplyDeleteWill look into Lola a little more...doesn't sound like my usual read, but that can be a good thing.
I went through a phase where I tried to be more daring with my fashion choices, but in the end I am really just way too self-conscious for that! I'm a simple, comfy clothes kind of gal. I admire people like Lola who are able to put their quirkiness out there in such an obvious way.
